Beirut, Shawwal 12, 1435, Aug 8, 2014, SPA -- Former Prime Minister of Lebanon Saad Al-Hariri met in Beirut today with the leader of the Lebanese parliamentary Future Bloc Fouad Al-Siniora and members of the group. At the outset of the meeting, Al-Hariri lauded the generous assistance offered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to support the Lebanese army in its fight against terrorism in the region and to bolster the country's security, peace and stability, noting that it gives hope that "Lebanon is a country with great friends in the region". He told the meeting that the main aim of the assistance is to support the army, security force and the State. He said the role of the Future Bloc is to protect moderation and prevent extremism and sedition. "This is our role and this is the message the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has sent to us and to all Lebanese people, namely that strengthening the State and its institutions as well as the army in particular protects moderation and the country from the evils of terrorism and extremism". He underscored the importance of supporting the State, the army and other security forces despite some mistakes committed in the past, in reference to Hezbollah involvement in Syrian crises, which he said, put the Lebanese army subject to risks to the objection of all Lebanese people. --SPA 23:52 LOCAL TIME 20:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
