Asuncion, Sha'ban 26, 1435, Jun 24, 2014, SPA -- Flooding has forced about 200,000 people across Paraguay out of their homes, dpa quoted the country's emergency service as saying Monday. An estimated 70,000 of the people who have escaped the rising water are from the capital, Asuncion, a city of about 500,000 people. The flooding followed heavy rainfall in recent weeks the caused the Paraguay and Parana rivers to break their banks. Just across the border in Argentina, the homes of estimated 5,000 people in the city of Formosa were flooded. --SPA 11:06 LOCAL TIME 08:06 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
