Washington, Dhu-AlQa'dah 10, 1435, Sep 5, 2014, SPA -- The Argentinean Senate on Thursday approved legislation aimed at circumventing U.S. court decisions regarding its defaulted debt by changing payment jurisdiction, sending the bill to the lower-house Chamber of Deputies for final approval. The proposed law, which says foreign debt can be paid through intermediaries outside the United States, is Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez's effort to put government debt out of reach of U.S. courts that have jurisdiction over some of the original bond contracts. --SPA 11:52 LOCAL TIME 08:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
