Tokyo, Shawwal 27, 1435, Aug 23, 2014, SPA -- A break in the weather allowed thousands of rescuers to intensify efforts Saturday to remove mud and debris in western Japan following a landslide, as the toll rose to 49, dpa quoted broadcaster NHK as reporting. The number of dead increased as more bodies were found three days after the landslides triggered by torrential rain struck the northern part of Hiroshima city. Some 3,000 rescuers and 1,000 volunteers were working at the site of the disaster. -- SPA 19:16 LOCAL TIME 16:16 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
