GCC Foreign Ministers Hold in Riyadh their 131st Session 2 Riyadh

Sheikh Al-Sabah confirmed the positions of the GCC member states towards Iran and the importance of tackling the worrying issues at bilateral levels between the GCC members and Iran as regards the Iranian nuclear file as the GCC countries are looking forward to translating the Iranian orientations to a positive action as regards its relations with the GCC member states in an endeavor to remove the reasons triggering tension in the region. He lauded the outcome of the Yemen Friends Group held in London on 29th of April 2014, citing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's great role in this field. He said the foreign policy of the GCC member states put the support of the Palestinian issue as priority, stating the importance of finding a comprehensive and fair solution to the issue through the establishment of an independent state within the 1967 parallel with Eastern Al-Quds as capital. He lauded the success of the presidential elections in Egypt, expressing the hope of everybody to see Egypt re-taking its pioneering position regionally and internationally as well as its strategic role in the region.
