Cape Town, Rajab 27, 1435, May 26, 2014, SPA -- Five people in Sierra Leone have been reported dead after coming into contact with the Ebola virus, the World Health Organisation said Monday. According to dpa, one additional infection has been registered, according to the WHO office in Sierra Leone, without saying when the infections or deaths had occurred. "Preliminary information received from the field indicates that one laboratory confirmed case and five community deaths have been reported from Koindu chiefdom," WHO officals said. Koindu borders on the Gueckedou region in neighbouring Guinea, where eight new Ebola cases were registered Friday. Health authorities have counted 101 Ebola deaths and 157 suspected infections in Guinea since January. --SPA 18:42 LOCAL TIME 15:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
