Sofia, Sha'ban 22, 1435, Jun 20, 2014, SPA -- At least 11 people, two of them children, have died after torrential rains caused flooding in eastern Bulgaria, Interior Minister Tsvetlin Yovchev said Friday. Ten of the victims were found in the Black Sea port of Varna and another in Dobrich, 35 kilometers to the north. Several people were still missing, dpa quoted Yovchev as saying. Lower sections of Varna were completely submerged. The floodwaters swept cars away and the work of rescue teams was hampered because of the drifting vehicles, dpa reported. --SPA 15:07 LOCAL TIME 12:07 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
