Washington, Sha'ban 22, 1435, Jun 20, 2014, SPA -- A U.S. Senate panel Thursday approved a $48.3 billion budget for foreign aid and State Department work next year. The Senate Appropriations Committee voted 25-5 in favor of the budget. The funding would be slightly below this year's but in line with what the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee proposed. That panel is likely to vote next week.
