Amman, Sha'ban 3, 1435, Jun 1, 2014, SPA -- Border guards have received 329 Syrian refugees, who crossed the northern border over the past 72 hours to flee the civil war in their country, a source at the Jordanian Armed Forces General Command Headquarters said. The source said the refugees, including sick and wounded people, were escorted into temporary accommodation centers on the frontier where they were offered emergency humanitarian aid before being taken to the Zaatari refugee camp. Jordan is host to over 600,000 Syrians who had sought refuge in Jordan since the Syrian crisis began more than three years ago, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. --SPA 23:20 LOCAL TIME 20:20 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
