Tokyo, 06 Ramadan, 1435, 03 July, 2014, SPA - - Japan was to ease some of its unilateral sanctions on North Korea, Prime Minster Shinzo Abe said Thursday, according to dpa. The move came after diplomats from the two countries held talks in Beijing on Tuesday about North Korea's past abductions of Japanese nationals and recent missile launches. The decision was motivated by North Korea's apparent efforts to give real authority to an abduction probe panel it is setting up, the premier said. Japan will lift restrictions on travel between the two countries and on remittances to and cash carried into North Korea, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a news conference. --SPA 12:21 LOCAL TIME 09:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
