Washington, Ramadan 2, 1435, Jun 30, 2014, SPA -- The United States and China will hold the sixth meeting of their strategic and economic dialogue in Beijing on July 9 and 10, the US State and Treasury Departments announced Monday. US Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will be joined by their respective Chinese co-chairs, State Councilor Yang Kiechi and Vice Premier Wang Yang, the State Department said in a statement. The dialogue will focus on “addressing the challenges and opportunities that both countries face on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global areas of immediate and long-term economic and strategic interests,” the department wrote. Alongside the strategic and economic dialogue meetings, Kerry will participate in the fifth annual U.S.-China consultation of people-to-people exchange in coordination with Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong, the department said.
