Cairo, Rajab 27, 1435, May 26, 2014, SPA -- A chief editor of an independent Libyan newspaper was shot dead Monday by unknown gunmen in the eastern city of Benghazi, dpa cited Libyan media as reporting. The assailants fired a volley of bullets at Meftah Abu Zeid, the editor of Brnieq newspaper, in central Benghazi, the independent news website Al-Wasat said. He was killed immediately.
