New York, Sha'ban 6, 1435, Jun 4, 2014, SPA -- The head of a mission tasked with destroying Syria's chemical weapons stockpile called on countries with influence over parties in the Syrian conflict to ensure the "immediate" removal of the remaining chemicals in the country, as dpa reported. "We call on all member states to exercise their influence and to ensure the immediate removal of the remaining chemicals," Sigrid Kaag, the head of the joint mission of the UN and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW-UN), told reporters in New York.
