Washington, Rajab 22, 1435, May 21, 2014, SPA -- The Saudi Embassy to the United States of America has stressed safety of all Saudi citizens in the United States due to the wildfires in San Marcos region near San Diego city, California. In a statement issued by the Saudi embassy, the embassy said it closely follows the latest developments in cooperation and coordination with the Saudi Consulate General in Los Angeles and the Saudi cultural attaché in Washington as well as the health attaché in order to ensure the safety of all Saudi citizens in the region and to provide all means of comfort and safety for them. The embassy added that a number of Saudi citizens were evacuated from the regions near the fires in implementation of the local authorities' instructions, pointing out that the Consulate General in Los Angeles was reassured on their safety and provided them with appropriate shelter and basic needs until the end of the crisis. --SPA 11:20 LOCAL TIME 08:20 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
