Beirut, Rajab 30, 1435, May 29, 2014, SPA -- Lebanon's outgoing President Michael Sulaiman received a telephone call from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry who paid tribute to the efforts the president has exerted during his term of office to protect the sovereignty and independence of Lebanon despite the violence and instability overwhelming the neighborhood. During the conversation, Kerry also confirmed his country's support for the stability of Lebanon and Ba'abuda declaration and underscored the importance of expediting the election of a new president for Lebanon, noting the cooperation between his country and Lebanese officials and constitutional institutions.
