RIYADH: Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah on Wednesday met aid-organization leaders on the sidelines of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, Saudi Press Agency reported. During talks with Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, director general of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Al-Rabeeah discussed relief and humanitarian issues of mutual concern and ways to promote development assistance in needy countries. The center’s chief also met with Martin Griffiths, the UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, and Jens Wandel, the acting executive director of the UN Office for Project Services. They discussed ways to further cooperation between the organizations. In addition, Al-Rabeeah held talks with Qatar Red Crescent chief executive officer, Faisal Al-Emadi, who praised the forum’s role in addressing relief issues.
