Riyadh, February 08, 2023, SPA -- The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GASGI) and the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) International have signed a contract to develop the 2023 version of the national geospatial platform on the sidelines of LEAP23 conference. Through this project, GASGI aims to develop the national geospatial platform to enhance services that include an electronic atlas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an open geospatial data portal for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), digital twinning services for Riyadh, mobility and navigation services, and road data services. It will also develop points of interest data, 3D building data, real-time road information, the national network of continuous monitor stations, geodetic reference conversion tools, and the services of the national network of tidal stations. The contract was signed by GASGI President Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Al Sayel and Director of International Strategies at Esri International Suhail Al-Abed.
