Al-Jouf Region Governor Inaugurates Al-Jouf Region Museum

Sakaka, March 22, 2021, SPA -- Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region, today inaugurated Al-Jouf Region Museum. The Governor, while touring the museum, was briefed by Museum Director Ahmad Al-Qaid, on the history, landmarks and antiquities of the region, as well as its characteristics in various fields between the past and the present and its future plans, where the museum seeks to enhance the relation of the region’s residents and visitors with the rich and unique history of the region. During the inauguration, the Governor of Al-Jouf Region said, “This museum is an addition to the great attention by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince paid to museums and what they house of the treasures of cultural and heritage legacy, and for being a window of the human history, culture and civilizations. Saudi Vision 2030 also focuses on these factors to preserve our identity and pass it to future generations.” The Governor added, “This was the reason for establishing Al-Jouf Region Museum to shed light on the history and civilization of the region and the sequence of historical events witnessed in the region since the past until today achieving qualitative leaps in the fields of generating solar and wind energy and gas extraction.” --SPA 15:07 LOCAL TIME 12:07 GMT 0015 www.spa.gov.sa/w1528613
