Riyadh, July 8, 2020, SPA -- Since the emerge of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made great efforts through forming a specialized committee to manage the crisis and create policy responses to the pandemic. The government swiftly took measures starting with a vast array of strict precautionary actions to limit the spread of the pandemic and protect the lives of the its citizens and residents. The booklet highlights the timeline of the measures taken by the Saudi government as well as some support initiatives launched by government entities, reflecting the continued and coordinated efforts to mitigate the impact on the private sector and businesses in the hard-hit sectors. These initiatives, targeting private sector enterprises, investors and individuals, include direct support initiatives, delaying receipts from the private sector, exemptions, delays in loan payments, wage support, and job protection schemes.
