Health Ministry Spokesman: 1147 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Apr 21, 2020, SPA -- Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali said that 1147 new cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a press conference today, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that the new cases were reported in Makkah (305), Madinah (299), Jeddah (171), Riyadh (148), Hofuf (138), Taif (27), Jubail (12), Tabuk (10), Khulais (8), Buraidah (6), Dammam (5), Makhwah (3), Arar (2), Unaizah (2), Dhahran (2), Hada (2), Jouf (1), Qurayyat (1), Baha (1), Qunfidhah (1), Qarie (1), Mahayel Asir (1) and Sabt Al Alaya (1). Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 11,631 cases, of which 9,882 cases are active cases receiving medical care, and their health condition is mostly stable; with the exception of 81 cases receiving intensive care. The number of new recoveries is 150, bringing the total recoveries to 1640 cases. The number of new deaths is 6, bringing the total deaths to 109 cases. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is more than 2,500,000 cases, of which 655,000 cases have been cured to date.
