Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 5, 1439, Aug 16, 2018, SPA -- Al-Bat'ha crossing customs thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large amount of cigarettes crochets, amounting to 61,100, found hidden in a consignment sent to the Kingdom. The Director of the customs, at Bat'ha crossing Ziad Balawi said that the consignment was on an incoming truck and when subjected to customs procedures, we found a large amount of smoke, which was hidden in the front of the truck, inside 1222 cartons, in addition to 278 cartons of Macaroni placed in the back, for camouflage, at the time of the inspection. Al-Balawi explained that the smuggled quantity was intended to evade taxes and fees.
