Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Ranks Second Globally, First in Arab, Middle East and Asia on Global Cybersecurity Index

Riyadh, June 30, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad Newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is continuing its local, regional and international achievements in this auspicious era, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. Saudi Arabia, through its ambitious vision, seeks to make unprecedented achievements in many various fields, the paper added. In this regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a new global achievement by ranking second among 193 countries and first in the Arab world, Middle East and Asia on the Global Cybersecurity Index, the paper further added. This progress has been made due to unremitting support being provided by the wise leadership to achieve a safe and credible cyberspace, through a specialized reference, issuing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, controls and guidelines related to it. This is in addition to capacity building and competencies and developing related performance measurement indicators, the paper concluded. In another context, Okaz Newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030 has contributed to attracting the experiences of global companies to support all local sectors, especially the investment and industry sectors. In this context, the memorandum of understanding, which has been recently signed by the Ministries of Investment and Industry and one of the leading companies in the health sector on the other hand, has shown the eagerness of government agencies to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in promoting social, health and economic development, the paper added. Expanding in the advanced pharmaceutical industry locally would contribute in the short term to creating specialized jobs, lowering prices and establishing many specialized factories in the medical field, the paper further added. Such a step will support Saudi exports in the future.
