Conakry, Jul 27, 2019, SPA -- President of the Republic of Guinea Alpha Conde reaffirmed confidence in the ability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to confront terrorism in all its forms, praising the great work done by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to maintain security and the peace in the region. In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, he said that when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to form a front and a coalition to fight terrorism, Guinea was the first to join the coalition, adding that: We were among the first countries to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to counter the threat of the terrorism, as a position that stems from our conviction of the ability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to confront terrorism of all its forms, and its centrality in the Islamic world. Regarding Guinea's position on the successive developments in the GCC region, Iran's targeting of security in the GCC and its arms attacks against the Saudi territory, the President said that terrorism that targets the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the GCC region today is the same terrorism that threatens the rest of the world, and it is a global phenomenon and a great danger, which must be faced with seriousness and firmness, as we all have to stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the face of this terrorism. We believe that harming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an attack on the Islam and an attack on Makkah and Madinah, he concluded. --SPA 19:03 LOCAL TIME 16:03 GMT 0008 www.spa.gov.sa/w1145331
