New York, Safar 29, 1437, Dec 11, 2015, SPA -- Several members of the UN Security Council and UN officials decried conditions in North Korea, calling Thursday for Pyongyang to immediately improve its human rights record and threatening a referral to the International Criminal Court, dpa reported. The meeting was the second time that the Security Council discussed the human rights situation in North Korea. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein said that despite signs that the North Korean government, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), was increasing its engagement with the international community, grave human rights violations continue. -- SPA 02:13 LOCAL TIME 23:13 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
