KSrelief Signs Two Executive Programs with UNDP Worth $6 Million to Support Yemeni People

Riyadh, February 21, 2023, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed today two executive programs with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on the sidelines of the 3rd Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum (RIHF3). The two agreements were signed by Advisor at the Royal Court and KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner. Under the first agreement, vocational training and support for the vocational and technical skills of young men and women in Yemen and the enhancement of their skills in the field of business required by the local market will take place in the rural areas of Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhalea, Aden, Al-Mahra, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Taiz, benefiting 1,491 people, at a total cost of $4 million. While the second agreement will contribute to reducing vulnerability and enhancing the resilience and social cohesion of communities affected by the humanitarian crisis in Aden, Hadramout, and Lahj by creating sustainable livelihoods and promoting peacebuilding initiatives, this project is expected to benefit 1,084 affected and internally displaced persons as well as people with disabilities, at a total cost of $2 million. --SPA 20:33 LOCAL TIME 17:33 GMT 0035 www.spa.gov.sa/w1857604
