Riyadh, February 21, 2023, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation program with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) today. Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and UNOPS Acting Executive Director Jens Wandel signed the program on the sidelines of the third Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum. The program aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the area of capacity-building and the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and field experience, as well as cooperation in areas of joint interest, such as supporting sustainable procurement, including making UNOPS e-commerce procurement platform available to benefit from it, providing procurement advisory services to support addressing key challenges in this area and making them more efficient, as well as reaching unique solutions and tools, such as the procurement efficiency assessment tool to meet needs. It also aims to support sustainable infrastructure, find innovative solutions, face vital challenges, and help achieve goals. The program also seeks to support project management, based on international standards in this field in a way that integrates sustainable approaches and sustainable solutions, where UNOPS will provide project management advisory services to boost capacity to manage the center’s initiatives, including evaluation of project management practices in entities, the establishment of project management units and capacity development. --SPA 20:06 LOCAL TIME 17:06 GMT 0031 www.spa.gov.sa/w1857591
