Saudi Space Commission Holds Meeting with Brazilian Space Agency to Discuss Prospects for Cooperation

Riyadh, February 16, 2023, SPA -- A virtual meeting was held yesterday between the acting CEO of the Saudi Space Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, and the Head of the Brazilian Space Agency, Carlos de Mora, to discuss potential areas of cooperation between the two entities in the field of space economies and the space ecosystem. Al-Tamimi shared the Kingdom's aspirations for the space sector and its strategic goals, and he stressed the importance of accelerating efforts in areas that would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries and developing future partnership, particularly in the fields of research, science, and technology, as well as promoting technical cooperation, innovation, and investment in the space sector to serve humanity. The two sides, as signatories to the Artemis Accords, discussed the latest trends aimed at expanding the use of space for social and economic development purposes, including the programs and initiatives launched by the Saudi Space Commission to develop the sector, support its growth, and build national capacities.
