Riyadh, May 23, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh at his office here today received Sweden's Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue Ulrika Sundberg, in the presence of anti-terrorism coordinator in the Swedish Foreign Ministry Erika Ferrerand, and Swedish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Niclas Trouvé. The minister noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has the responsibility of spreading the principles of moderation, discarding radicalism and extremism, and respecting all humans, in implementation of the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah, noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has suffered from terrorism and incurred a lot of damage, and it is among the first countries that faced terrorism, highlighting the importance of joining global efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate its root causes through teaching people their religions without extremism, hate or radicalism. Sundberg called for increasing efforts enhancing cooperation in the anti-terrorism and spreading tolerance and dialogue among followers of various faiths.
