Saudi Al-Ahli Qualifies for the Quarter Finals of AFC Championships 2020

Riyadh, Sep 26, 2020, SPA -- Jeddah-based Al-Ahli football club qualified today for the quarter finals (16 teams' stage) of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), as it beat Emirates' rival Shabab Al-Ahli, in Doha, securing the ticket to move forward, on shoot-out. The match ended in a tie 1-1, however Al-Ahli won 4-3 from the spot. During the match, the Emirates' team advanced by scoring in the 28th minute, but Al-Ahli famous and leading scorer Omar Al-Souma, the Syrian international, bring Al-Ahli back to the match, scoring in 54th minute, from the penalty spot. Ridiculously, Al-Souma failed to score, during the shoot-out, as his last and 5th kick hit the woodwork of the bar. Noteworthy, Al-Ahli has topped his group, previously, ranking the 1st and grabbing 6-point out of 4-match.
