Amman, February 12, 2020, SPA -- The Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy received at his office today, Director of Operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jordan Muhammad Adar. Adar extended his congratulations to Ambassador Al-Sudairy, on the occasion of his appointment as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Jordan, thanking the Kingdom for its great support in supporting UNRWA projects related to assisting Palestinian refugees. Adar praised the vital role played by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) in activating many initiatives to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in several locations in Jordan and elsewhere. Adar invited Ambassador Al-Sudairy to attend the launch of a project to rehabilitate a number of schools in Jordan with the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For his part, Ambassador Al-Sudairy thanked the guest and his companions for their visit and congratulations, stressing that the Kingdom has been and will remain one of the most important donors in the world, and that this is one of the pillars of the Islamic religion and the Kingdom's policy towards the afflicted and disadvantaged everywhere in the world. Ambassador Al-Sudairy also thanked him for the kind invitation and his firm desire to attend the inauguration of the project referred to by Adar, and his emphasis on the importance of participating in the second Riyadh Humanitarian Forum to be held in Riyadh (1-2 March of this year), in addition to the Kingdom’s embrace of other international events and importance UNRWA's participation in such events. The meeting was attended by the Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) in Jordan, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazeem, who stressed the desire of the King Salman Relief Center to cooperate with "UNRWA" in developing more humanitarian initiatives and projects with concrete impact that serve the widest possible segment of the Palestinian people .
