Iraqi Prime Minister Opens Age Old Cities Exhibition in Riyadh

Riyadh, April 18, 2019, SPA -- Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Adil Abdul-Mahdi, opened yesterday "Age Old Cities Destroyed by Terrorism Exhibition", organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Arab World Institute in Paris, at the National Museum in Riyadh in presence of a number of officials, ministers, diplomats and intellectuals. The Exhibition will continue for one month until May 18, 2019, and will receive visitors daily from 4 pm to 10 pm. The Exhibition presents the story of Arab cultural and archaeological sites that were destroyed or under the threat of destruction for various reasons, the most important of which is terrorism, in the context of a virtual journey by the visitors to these famous sites using virtual reality techniques, in order to raise awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting these sites from all potential threats.
