Riyadh, February 13, 2023, SPA -- The US-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Working Groups meeting on maritime security and air defense was held here, attended by representatives of the armed forces of GCC states and representatives of the GCC General Secretariat. Assistant Secretary for Military Affairs Major General Ahmed Al-Ali and Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Aluwaisheg met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Middle East Affairs Dana Stroul, who represented US side, at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh. Discussions centred around the strategic partnership between the GCC and the US, and ways to develop and strengthen political and military cooperation to ensure the achievement of common interests and to enhance the security and stability of the region.
