Makkah, February 13, 2023, SPA -- The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque has provided a series of quality services to visitors of the Grand Holy Mosque to ensure the comfort of worshippers, Umrah performers, and visitors of the mosque. Services provided to worshippers and Umrah performers included distributing booklets and leaflets to 1,100 visitors, raising awareness through QR codes containing guidance information, securing virtual calls with muftis using advanced technologies, and with the Presidency personnel available throughout the Grand Mosque. Some 85,676 visitors benefited from the awareness services. From among the visitors, 2,471 people were helped to perform tawaf (circumambulation) by the Presidency's personnel who worked to facilitate the worshippers' performance of the ritual. To ensure hygienic conditions, 130,000 litres of disinfectant, 2,650 litres of fresheners, 32,100 litres of carpet sanitisers, 5,100 litres of hand sanitisers, 2,300 litres used by robots for sterilisation, 2,100 litres of bio-care sterilisers and 32,000 litres of surface sterilisers were used. Among the services provided: 365 bracelets were distributed to younger visitors; 27,856 people were given special counseling in several languages; 900 people benefited from human and social services; 16,100 prayer carpets were distributed, and 100 bottles of fragrance were given at the entry to the Grand Holy Mosque. -- SPA 13:17 LOCAL TIME 10:17 GMT 0007 www.spa.gov.sa/w1853380
