GCC Secretary General, Saudi Minister of Economy Discuss Enhancing Economic Cooperation, Integration among GCC Countries

Riyadh, July 8, 2021, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf and Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim discussed several issues related to enhancing economic cooperation and integration among GCC countries, such as the customs union and joint gulf market. This comes as an implementation of decisions and directives of leaders of GCC countries, and due to the importance of investing economic integration opportunities and pushing forward for collective benefit of GCC countries in realization of goals of the gulf economic agreement. These remarks were made during a meeting that was held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic and Planning in Riyadh, where Dr. Al-Hajraf expressed pride in the sustainable development plans that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is implementing and cooperation that will be enhanced and developed through GCC. He stressed the Council’s keenness to provide support to enable the execution of joint gulf plans and strategies.
