Riyadh, September 7, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arena. Al-Bilad newspaper, in its editorial titled "Education and Crises", praised the great interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since it took over the presidency of the G20, in promoting educational development prospects, including distance education. The newspaper added that this interest had a strong presence in the G20 Education Ministers' meeting, and the final statement contained gratitude to the Kingdom's leadership for its tireless efforts to mitigate the uncommon impacts and challenges of the new Coronavirus pandemic on education. The newspaper concluded by saying that the ministers of education in the G20 countries emphasized that education is a human right and a basis for other rights and forms the personal and skill development basis to face social, cultural, and economic challenges, which requires international cooperation and the sharing of best practices to upgrade education systems around the world. --SPA 10:13 LOCAL TIME 07:13 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w1405282
