New York, June 11, 2019, SPA -- The representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations Ambassador Riyad Mansour has called on the international community to condemn and reject the statements made by Israeli officials regarding the city of Jerusalem, especially what the Israeli delegate stated to the United Nations about the right of the Jews to the land of Palestine. In a letter to the United Nations, Mansour said that the international community should condemn such statements and emphasize the status of Jerusalem in accordance with international law, which states that Israel does not have sovereignty over Jerusalem and that the issue of the city remains unresolved and that it is a final status issue in the Middle East peace process.
