Cairo, March 25, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has retained its seat at the Executive Council of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the Middle East Region for the third time in a row. This came during the Kingdom's participation, represented by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), in the meeting of the 45th session of the Committee of the Middle East Region of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, held on Sunday in Cairo. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SCTH Ahmad bin Aqil Al-Khatib. The Kingdom's retaining of its seat at the Executive Council of the UNWTO for the period 2019-2023, comes in line with the Kingdom's roles, positions, global presence and trends to increase investment in tourism according to the Kingdom's Vision 2030, transforming the Kingdom into a global tourist destination.
