Tripoli, Libya, Safar 09, 1437, November 21, 2015, SPA -- The chief of Libya's interim administration Abdullah Al-Thini has declared that the country's official capital of Tripoli has turned completely controlled by outlawed insurgents, armed bands and groups. In what could be the first official statement on the results of fierce skirmishes in some of the capital's neighborhood recently taking place between armed groups, during which public accusations of responsibility of abduction and illegal arrests were traded, Al-Thini, speaking last night from his interim headquarters in Al-Baidha city in the eastern parts of the country, expressed concern towards what he called the current incidents in Tripoli resulting in increasing bloodshed, abduction, arrests and violent acts perpetrated by outlawed organizations who have completely overrun the capital. Al-Thini's administration, the world's sole recognized government in Libya, called on the people of Tripoli, particularly who dwell in the city's western part, to stand united in the face of armed groups and provide assistance to the army forces stationed in the same area to enable them fulfilling their duties of protecting the country and the state's institutions. --SPA 13:20 LOCAL TIME 10:20 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
