Saudi Press: HRH Crown Prince Donates SR100 million to Charitable Societies and Paying Debts of 150 Insolvent Prisoners

Riyadh, May 09, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people are witnessing in these days the 4th anniversary of pledge of allegiance to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. This great anniversary coincides with the 5th anniversary of Saudi Vision 2030, launched by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz five years ago. Saudi Arabia's vision 2030 included a whole set of plans and programs which effectively contributed to the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Such plans and programs also enabled Saudi Arabia to confront COVID-19 Pandemic and its severe repercussions that the entire world is witnessing, the newspaper further said. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorials that HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has directed to disburse SR100 million to support charitable societies as well as paying debts of more than 150 insolvent prisoners who are jailed on financial charges. Under HRH Crown Prince’s gesture, 29 charitable societies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's regions will be supported by a total amount of SR87 million, while the remaining SR13 million has been allocated to paying the debts of more than 150 insolvent prisoners, the paper said. The paper added that HRH the Crown Prince's support comes under the "Snad Mohammed bin Salman Social Enterprise Program" to enable charitable societies to provide services to 8 groups in the society. HRH the Crown Prince's support and donations over the past years included charities for women, people with disabilities, cancer patients, health services, and charities for the elderly care, the paper further added.
