Riyadh, April 21, 2021, SPA -- The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the protocols, precautionary and preventive measures for the COVID-19 pandemic in GACA’s buildings, airports and facilities. President of GACA Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailj stressed the need to adhere to the implementation of the protocols set by the Ministry of Health and not to be complacent, including the commitment to wearing face masks, continuous sterilization, preventing congestion, following the instructional posters and maintaining a safe social distance. This in addition to not allowing entry to any facility related to GACA without the use of the "Tawakkalna" application. He called for adhering to the recommended health measures in order to preserve the gains achieved in addressing the Coronavirus pandemic and not to be complacent in taking all precautions, indicating that this would not have been achieved except by the generous care and support from the wise leadership that made the citizen's health and safety first. GACA, in cooperation with the security authorities, intensified inspection tours to airports, GACA’s buildings and its facilities to detect violators of the precautionary measures. It also activated a screening point (measuring temperature, or the application of Tawakkalna) and appointing a protocol officer in each facility and more than 250 observers to follow up on the application of precautionary measures, in addition to increasing educational awareness messages in all buildings, airports and their facilities, and emphasizing on companies and commercial centers in airports the need to adhere to the precautionary and health measures. It is worth mentioning that GACA is working to implement all preventive measures at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's airports to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in coordination with the Ministry of Health, and has implemented packages of measures in order to take all health measures and apply the highest degree of prevention in accordance with global safety and health standards. --SPA 22:23 LOCAL TIME 19:23 GMT 0038 www.spa.gov.sa/w1547102
