Saudi Arabia's Embassy in Washington to Celebrate International Women's Day

Washington, Mar 7, 2020, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabian's embassy in Washington will celebrate, next Monday, the International Women's Day, under the patronage of Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America. On this occasion to be held at the embassy's headquarters here, Princess Reema expressed her sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the female employees working at the Saudi embassy in Washington, due to their efforts being exerted for developing the work and reflecting the true reality of women's participation in society. She said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working more than ever to empower women, calling on her colleagues in the embassy to move forward towards achieving their dreams, and making use of this International Day to help other women in enhancing the role of women in shaping the future. The celebration of this day, which falls on March 8 of each year comes to honor women and celebrate their social, economic, cultural and political achievements. In the same context, the embassy sheds light on the main role being played by Saudi women in building society and contributing to developing it since the Kingdom's establishment by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman Al Saud until this prosperous era being led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense which is witnessing the Kingdom's Vision 2030 with its goals and plans that contribute to support the women's efforts and their creativity. --SPA 12:45 LOCAL TIME 09:45 GMT 0003 www.spa.gov.sa/w1282713
