Brussels, Feb 4, 2019, SPA -- Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir took part, in the Arab-European Union (EU) meeting held here today. Following the meeting, he underscored the significance of Arab countries and EU member states historical and distinctive relations, pointing out that there are further more promising opportunities, in the domain of commerce and investment, among the two blocs. He also considered the meeting as a chance for more consultations and views' exchange, in order to overcome challenges and to take advantage of opportunities, at avail. Inter-Arab consultations are ongoing, with our brethren, he added, to reach a conclusion that would maintain the unity as well as the independence of Syria, lead to expelling foreign forces from the Syrian soils and to implement UN Security Council resolution no.2254. Al-Jubeir, on the sidelines of the meeting, met, separately and respectively, with Alistair Burt, the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to ministers of foreign affairs of Spain Josep Borrell, of Malta Carmelo Abela and of Poland Jacek Czaputowiczof.
