ATHENS, Greece, Muharram 04, 1437, October 17, 2015, SPA -- Greece's parliament has approved a new round of austerity measures after snap general elections last month triggered by dissent over a new bailout deal, AP reported. Lawmakers on Friday evening backed a bill to penalize early retirement and expand a widely hated property tax, among other cost-cutting commitments required in return for a 2 billion-euro ($2.3 billion) loan installment. The loan is part of Greece's third major bailout agreement with eurozone lenders, worth a total of 86 billion euros ($98 billion) over three years. The vote was the first test for leftwing Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras since he won the Septeber 20 election. --SPA 02:23 LOCAL TIME 23:23 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
