The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom: King Abdulaziz International Competition for Holy Quran Memorization is one of first concerns of the Kingdom's leadership

Riyadh, September 04, 2019 -- The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh has affirmed that taking care of the Holy Quran and serving it are ones of the first concerns of the leaders of this blessed country since it was founded by late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. This came in the Mufti's statement on the occasion of the start of the activities of King Abdulaziz International Competition for Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation at its forty-first session, to be organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat of the Holy Quran Local and International Competition in the Grand Holy Mosque during the period from Muharram 8th - 12th. He said the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah have been of great interest to the rulers of the Kingdom since the era of late Imam Muhammad bin Saud. The Grand Mufti Al Al-Sheikh explained that one of the competitions held by the leaders of this country is this Competition which is of the special interest and care of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, pointing out that this competition is held annually to allow the participation of Muslim youths from different countries of the Islamic world. -- SPA 13:22 LOCAL TIME 10:22 GMT 0007 www.spa.gov.sa/w1166136
