Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 29, 1439, September 09, 2018, SPA -- The Saudi market has attracted Informa Exceptions Company, one of the world's largest in organizing conferences, exhibitions, meetings and gatherings and is set to host four giant commercial exhibitions, owned by Informa. This was disclosed by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) at a press conference in Riyadh today as Eng. Tareq bin Abdulrahman Al-Isa, the Executive Manager for the National Program for exhibitions and Conferences at SAGIA, unveiled that attracting the world's biggest organizer of conferences and exhibitions to the Saudi market and hosting new four giant commercial exhibitions, owned by Informa, comes within the framework of the Kingdom's vision 2030 to promote the Saudi gatherings organization industry. He said the move also aims at supporting the economic, touristic and social sectors, creating new jobs for citizens to join the meetings industry, localizing knowledge to the Kingdom, enhancing foreign investments in the Kingdom and increasing the touristic movement in the Kingdom in particular. Al-Isa said the Kingdom is proceeding with its policy to enhance its capabilities to become an international important destination to organize business events and that the Supervisory Committee, chaired by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, has accredited 90 initiatives to develop the Saudi meetings industry, out of them 35 contribute to attracting international business events to the Kingdom, citing that the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences has concluded a study in 2014 that pinpointed the best 57 international companies specialized in organizing business events in the world, supplying the Kingdom with the best services for international events and operating exhibitions and conferences centers with their annual revenues estimated at nearly 17 billion U.S. dollar and creating more than 100,000 jobs all over the world. --More 21:56 LOCAL TIME 18:56 GMT 0034 www.spa.gov.sa/w746380
