Riyadh, April 12, 2022, SPA -- Dr. Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, as it represents one of the most important pillars for the protection and safety of data and information, praising the great movement in the field of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its winning advanced international places in this regard. This came during today' signing of a memorandum of understanding between the GCC General Secretariat and the Kingdom's National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) at the authority's headquarters in Riyadh. Dr. Al-Hajraf highlighted the keenness of the GCC General Secretariat to establish partnerships with the GCC, regional and international bodies, with the aim of benefiting from various experiences, in response to future requirements and in preparation for the competition and challenges that it will impose, which requires intensifying efforts in the field of cybersecurity, building strong technological systems, enhancing specialized human capacities, and protecting information and the development of plans to avoid cyber security incidents, praising the pioneering experience of NCA in the Kingdom in this important field. --SPA 21:43 LOCAL TIME 18:43 GMT 0027 www.spa.gov.sa/w1720385
