Riyadh, Feb. 10, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources concluded its participation in the African Mining INDABA Conference 2023 hosted by Cape Town, South Africa, from 6 - 9 February 2023 under the umbrella (Invest in Saudi Arabia). Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Midaifer, who led the Saudi delegation to the conference, delivered a key speech at the opening ceremony, during which he cast light on the great mining opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the organizational and legislative framework attractive to investors. Also, he held meetings with several government officials and senior officials representing giant companies who attended the event. For their part, senior officials of the Saudi delegation reviewed the vast opportunities available in Saudi Arabia in the field of mining as well as the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom to promote the mining sector, citing the upgrading of the mining investment system, which constitutes the regulatory infrastructure for the industry and provides a transparent and accessible environment for investors in the field of the mining as well as the access to geological data and ameliorating the basic infrastructure and offering incentives for investors. On the sidelines of the conference, the ministry held a meeting with investors to showcase the continuing efforts to promote the mining sector through reforms to attract foreign investors to invest in Saudi Arabia.
