Saudi Space Commission Chairman Meets with Heads of U.S. Space Companies

Washington, May 13, 2022, SPA -- Currently on a visit to the United States of America, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Space Commission (SSC) Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha met yesterday, (Thursday) with a number of U.S. space companies in the presence of acting CEO of the Saudi Space Commission Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi. The meetings came within the current official visit of Eng. Al-Sawaha to the United States of America to discuss investment and development opportunities in order to enhance the role of the space sector in the Kingdom. He met with John Elbon, Chief Operating Officer of United Launch Alliance "ULA" and Founder and CEO of Space Perspective Jane Poynter. The meetings aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of spacecraft launch services, build partnerships to contribute to the growth of the space tourism sector, exchange experiences and technologies in the spacecraft industry as well as expand the activities of space perspectives to localize them inside the Kingdom and enhance the vital and important role of the space sector to achieve the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. --SPA 02:10 LOCAL TIME 23:10 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w1731772
