Riyadh, February 18, 2022, SPA -- The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union has chosen the Secretary-General of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Dakhil Al-Mutairi, for the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award for the Union in the category of Secretaries General of Councils and Parliaments, which is granted by the Union according to several criteria, most notably the extent to which the council keeps pace with effective parliamentary development, and its impact on supporting parliamentarians and developing professional performance. Al-Mutairi received the award from the Speaker of the UAE's Federal National Council, the President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in its current session, Saqr Ghobash, and the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain, the President of the next session of the conference, Fawzia Zainal. After receiving the award, Al-Mutairi explained that receiving this award confirms the Kingdom's permanent excellence at all levels. On the other hand, the secretaries-general of councils and parliaments in the Arab countries held the meeting of the 39th Assembly of Secretaries-General within the work of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the Secretary-General of the Saudi Shura Council, Mohammed bin Dakhil Al-Mutairi, took part in the meeting.
