Riyadh, June 02, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait are linked by solid and deeply rooted relations, and based on these relations the two brotherly countries move towards a more prosperous future that achieves security and prosperity under the wise leadership of the two countries. The newspaper further added that the visit of Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his meeting with Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, comes as an extension of the visits that contributed to strengthening brotherly ties and cooperation regarding various regional and global issues. Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's choice of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia as the first country to visit in his current capacity reflected the strength of Saudi-Kuwaiti ties. It also demonstrates the two brotherly countries’ keenness on strengthening relations and cooperation. In another context, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that the Saudi Vision 2030 has worked on providing all necessary capabilities to strengthen the economy and achieve sustainability, in addition to strengthening the country's position on the global arena. The newspaper added that the currently implemented strategy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ensures that all the vision’s goals will be reached with the highest quality standards. Moreover, the Saudi leadership has worked on developing strategic plans for the development of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, since cities are representing 85 percent of the global economy. In this regard, Saudi Arabia has succeeded in attracting 24 international companies to establish main regional offices in Riyadh, as the government seeks to transform its capital into a business hub. HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has previously affirmed in a statement that ‘’We are therefore aiming to make Riyadh one of the ten largest city economies in the world - today it stands at number 40, the fortieth largest city economy worldwide’’. ‘’We also aim to increase its residents from 7.5 million residents today to around 15-20 million residents in 2030,” he said. As a result of the efforts and according to an analysis conducted by the company Dojo, which specializes in smart payment solutions, the Saudi capital, Riyadh, topped a list of Middle East cities in terms of “ambition, innovation and harmonization of the legal and operational environment for entrepreneurship.” Riyadh topped the list of Dojo’s study and ranked 14th internationally among a number of major capitals and cities around the world, the newspaper added. The newspaper concluded that this result of the recent analysis is one of a number of studies and reports that showed Riyadh’s leadership in terms of innovation and business.
